This track was written in the wee hours of the morning while doing dishes. The lyrical 'money in the bank bank' hook came to me from the universe but the melody I was singing it to sounded familiar. Thankfully turned out I was plagiarizing myself. The 'let go' refrain was the original lyrical and melodic idea, about love lost, which I loved.

I almost thought that the "money in the bank bank' idea was too catchy, but combining that hook with the original lyrical 'let go' hook and idea grounded the song. The verses and bridge lyrics are all stream of thought about a dead end relationship I was in at the time.
